Retro 3D Printing

For the creation of a 3D print, a digital model is generated. This is done using a computer-aided design (CAD) program, based on an original, by determining the dimensions using a user manual, or through online research. The resulting STL file describes the surface of a 3D object using triangles (tessellation). STL files are imported into slicer software to convert them into printable layers.

3D Resin Printer

I design and manufacture spare parts for retro equipment or reverse-engineer vintage technical toys, such as this submarine from the 1970s. For more details or more precise parts, I use a 3D resin printer.

3D Filament Printer

The foundation of all my designs is extensive measurements and the creation of a digital model using CAD. For robust and durable constructions, I use a 3D filament printer.
